The Top Gear G series are general-purpose cast iron gear pumps. This series is presented in three subseries:
- Top Gear GS – pumps with a single mechanical seal;
- Top Gear GP – pumps with gland packing;
- Top Gear GM – modular pumps with options for various seal types.
Applications
Johnson Pump gear pumps can be used for pumping explosive, toxic, and highly viscous fluids. To ensure maximum service life, we work closely with our customers to select the optimal seal type and materials for the main pump components for specific operating conditions:
- Chemical industry: pumping sodium silicate, acids, plastics, mixtures of various chemicals, isocyanates.
- Paint and printing industry: pumping paints, inks, polyurethane varnishes, polymers, etching solutions, emulsions.
- Food industry: pumping chocolate, cocoa butter, various fillings, sugar syrup, vegetable fats and oils, molasses.
- Pulp and paper industry: pumping acids, sulfate soap, strong alkaline solutions, kaolin, lime, latex, starch.
- Petrochemical industry: pumping pure bitumen, bitumen mastic, resins, diesel fuel, oil, lubricating oils.

- Built-in relief valve for overpressure protection; dual relief valves available for reversible pumps.
